Proposal for Photo essay

Synopsis

The Video tells the story of mine and my family’s day out in the German Market.

The Audience

The intended audience for this video is for people who are in my glass but the other people who are film experts or other film makers could watch this video.

The big idea

The goal of the video is to get someone to watch it then after know what we did during that day

Structure

What the idea for the story is to have us leaving the house to go down the street to get to the train station to get to Birmingham and see what there is to see in the town then soon after that you get back to the house we started at.

Film Evaluation (Bruce Almighty)

first in this scene the main character looks into the sky to see nothing but clouds  and a moon (which he will simply erase with his hands ) the reason I added so many clouds into the scene is for when he actually does erase them it will be obvious that he is doing so. After doing that Bruce starts to lasso the moon and brings it closer to him the reason I did this is because that it is a reference to the film Its a wonderful life because on that film there is a romantic scene where he offers to lasso the moon to the girl he fancies and since in this scene on Bruce Almighty is a love scene it makes it more romantic. Soon after the lassoing Bruce Starts to conjure up stars with his fingers which shows the power that he actually has.  Also in this scene is a combination of Long shots and medium shots the reason I did the long shots was to show how its one man who can do all these big things at will. Also the Medium shots are there because it lets you see the concentration on his expression as he is doing these. Also the long shots From Behind  Bruce lets you see how his work is coming along.

The Audience for this Video would be 15 and upwards because it’s more of a film type video people who don’t really like videos won’t really get the point. If it was on TV it would be on Late Night BB4

What is it about?

The Video is basically making a visual Haiku The Haiku goes like

“Bitter cold pure white

Enormous mountains of ice

Shape shifting crystal”

So for the 1^st the film has a white liquid pouring down the shot then for the 2^nd scene You see piles of ice representing mountains.

Then the 3^rd scene is the best one because you see water form into a block of ice to represent the shape shifting crystal.

Suggested Elements:

The Audience grabbing aspect of this film is that it’s interesting to see haikus but instead of words it’s done with video footage and all it is a 3 shots that tell a basic story or give out a certain meaning or feeling and what makes this an usual thing is that you have to work it out how the images are linked to the poem giving off a feeling a mystery or that it could be anything.

Idea number 1.

The haiku

Love a god she did
a jealous rage she provoked
in flames she met death

If I did this haiku I would get my sister to be the girl portraied in the poem for the first line she would go to church for "love a god"  for the seccond line i would have gotten her to do something on the lines of annoying someone .

then for the last line have a sound effect of fires at a grave yard

Idea number 2

 The haiku

My life is Jello
Sitting and waiting in the bowl
Patiently to gel

For this video

I would  get some jelly for the first shot then on the seccond have jelly and the bowl and after for the final line il get a shot of the jelly in the bowl with a clock next to it.
